Mug 3 Tea. Brewed too strong. Quarantined.
Mug 4 Tea. Brewed too weak. Designated for combination with Mug 3 at unspecified future time.

Mug 6 Water.
Mug 7 Water, prepared on a previous day. To be redirected to a houseplant.
Mug 8 On the floor, near the chair leg. Subject is aware of placement and considers it managed.
Mug 8.5 Recovered from upper bookshelf during follow-up sweep. Four (4) days resident in current location. Not visible from standing height. Not included in subject's verbal count.
Notes on Mug 8.5
Mug 8.5 was placed on the bookshelf following an unrelated remark by the subject's cohabitant regarding excessive mug accumulation. The remark was made in passing and was not formal. The subject responded by removing one (1) vessel from visible inventory rather than from operation. The vessel continues to participate in the workstation's hydration system. It has simply been moved out of the line of sight.
The Bureau notes that this is technically not a reduction. It is a reclassification. The husband's remark has been satisfied without any change to underlying behavior, which the Bureau regards as efficient.
System assessment
The eight visible vessels are not, as the cohabitant appears to believe, evidence of disorganization. They constitute a parallel-processing arrangement in which the subject does not commit to a single beverage and is therefore never without one. Decisions are deferred. Options remain open. The system is functioning as designed.
The cost of this system is approximately one (1) full sink at end of day. The subject considers this an acceptable operational expense. The cohabitant does the dishes.
Recommendation
No action. The Bureau does not regulate vessel-to-resident ratios at workstations and will not begin doing so on the basis of one passing remark. The subject is advised that further passing remarks may be addressed through additional shelving.
